Thank you for your interest in the “Yoga Essentials - Fundamentals” DVD! I am very excited to introduce this FIRST of my 3-Part DVD series that is named and modeled after my live “Yoga Essentials” workshops.
Over the years of teaching yoga, I have found that many of my students did not have the benefit of learning the fundamentals of yoga prior to beginning an on-going practice. In essence, they were trying to run before learning how to walk! And this was no fault of there own - there just weren’t enough resources that were easily accessible and affordable to fill this void.
That’s what led me to create my “Yoga Essentials” series of live workshops, and now instructional DVDs. Each of the three DVDs in this series feature instructional segments that incorporate fundamental principles to teach standard yoga poses, modifications to each pose and some incorrect tendencies to watch out for. All learned poses are also put into a yoga routine so you can regularly practice.
Now while Parts 2 & 3 will be available later this year, I’m excited to offer Part 1 which is subtitled “Fundamentals”. In this first DVD, I focus on key principles involving the yoga mindset, deep breathing, postural alignment and some root poses from which to build your practice. These rudimentary skills are essential for not only getting the most out of your yoga practice but also doing it safely.
