- Introduction Yoga Philosophy
- Discussion of myths & misconceptions surrounding yoga
- Review of the physiological, emotional & spiritual benefits
- Learning a few "every day" poses to help reduce tension
- Participation in a guided meditation exercise

Learn how breathing exercises and meditation techniques can improve your health, help you feel more energized, have more clarity, and enjoy a sense of peace!
At the end of the workshop, you will also receive a CD of all the meditations that we did during the course for your at-home practice. No previous experience necessary. Anyone can do this! Everyone can feel good! Two formats: 3 weekly classes OR one-day workshop.

*** Yoga Essentials Program ***
A comprehensive beginner's program offered in two formats to suit differing schedules and needs.
Format 1 is a 10-week program broken into Part 1 - the Instructional Segment and Part2 - the Practical Segment.
Part 1 comprises of four 90min. weekly classes (6 hours of personlized instruction) during which you will learn:
• yogic principles on mindset and approach to learning
• mindful, deep breathing exercises
• basic meditation
• proper postural alignment
• over 30 basic yoga poses
Part 2 takes up the remaining 6 weeks of the program during which you will learn how to "put it all together" into yoga routines which will teach transitioning and sequencing of poses for continued practice and growth.
The full 10-week program is perfect for those wanting to understand yoga in its full scope and have an opportunity to practice what you've learned in weekly yoga routines.
Format 2 delivers the 6 hours of personlized yoga instruction over 3 different workshop sessions. Each workshop is 2 hours long and subsequent workshops build on the previous.
*** For both formats, space is limited to 10 students to allow for personalized instruction.

WEEKLY CLASSES

"Hatha Flow": Hatha Yoga emphasizes breathing, awareness and proper body alignment. In this class, we incorporate gentle movement with our yoga poses creating a dynamic dimension to the regular hatha practice. The class will include strengthening poses to tone muscles with mindful stretching to improve range of motion and flexibility. The result is a refreshing and calming experience that can accommodate mixed levels of experience.
If you want to learn how to strengthen & tone muscles, improve flexibility and bring clarity & calm to your mind/body in a non-competitive, non-intimidating environment, this class is perfect for you!
